Accessibility Statement

Verify Recruits is committed to making its platform accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement explains our conformance level and how to report issues.

Conformance Level

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the Verify Recruits platform, including public marketing pages, the employer application, and the candidate verification portal. This is the conformance level required under the UK Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Our accessibility work covers colour contrast, keyboard navigation, screen reader support, focus management, reduced-motion preferences, touch targets, and form labelling.

What We Cover

  • Visible focus indicators and skip-to-content links on all pages
  • Keyboard-navigable navigation, forms, dialogs, and data tables
  • Screen reader support with semantic landmarks, ARIA labels, and live regions
  • Colour contrast meeting WCAG 2.2 AA ratios (4.5:1 for text, 3:1 for UI components)
  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion to disable non-essential animation
  • Touch targets sized to WCAG 2.2 minimum (24×24 CSS pixels)
  • Form fields with associated labels, error identification, and status announcements

Known Limitations

We are continuously improving accessibility. Some third-party integrations and embedded content may not yet fully meet AA. If you encounter a barrier, please report it and we will prioritise a fix.

Reporting an Accessibility Issue

If you experience difficulty accessing any part of Verify Recruits, please let us know. Include the page address and a description of the issue so we can address it promptly.

Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Conciliation Service (EACS) or the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) for further guidance.
